In 2019, I saw a unique opportunity to do something new. As a black man in Humboldt County, I experienced firsthand the imbalance that exists between our society, black people & cannabis.

All too often, our world limits the relationship people of color have with cannabis to two choices: Consumer or "Criminal".

​What if there was a way to change that harmful dynamic and blaze a different path?

With that question, Bridges Academy Farms was born. Our goal is to teach aspiring black & brown farmers the fundamentals of sustainable, organic farming, with a focus on cannabis cultivation.

Empowered with knowledge developed over 34 years of combined experience, we strive to inspire our brothers & sisters to cultivate a deeper relationship with Mother Earth. Firmly rooted with this foundation, we boldly promote self-determination, economic sovereignty & freedom to pursue life, liberty & happiness -- on our own terms.
